Water Pilgrimage
I I grew up in Japan, where water is an integral part of life. Our failure in responsible stewardship has led to the crises of drought, glacial melting, forest fires, and water contamination. The urgency of this project, intended to raise consciousness and catalyze behavioral change to impact water protection.
"Water pilgrimage" is performing of 3 female immigrants dancers with digital technology, percussion sound and voice.
Together it tell an important and emotional story with Butoh's intense organic movement.
